Meet the Webers…
We are Mark, Laura and Lana Weber. We’ve been San Diego Residents for 30 years. . . . When we had the opportunity to move into a home on a one of the most magical spots in Olde Del Mar, we jumped at the chance! Our Treehouse had amazing bones, but the need to “make it our own” was too overwhelming.
Our goal is to create a gathering place for our friends and family that is warm and welcoming. Capturing the energy and spirit of the site, whether you’re inside or out. We’re about 3 or 4 projects into what will likely be a sequence of 6 to 8. . . .if we’re lucky.
To this point we’ve taken an unfinished and inaccessible attic and converted it into a full time working environment, library and retreat. We’ve demo’ed a few rooms and a hallway to create a stand alone ensuite environment for our daughter and her friends. We’ve lightly remodeled the kitchen, and guest bath, opened up the living space to our little sanctuary out back, and taken a run at several finishes, including re-conceptualizing the living room fireplace.
As full-time creative directors and part-time back seat drivers, Halcyon had their hands full with us. Not only were they up for the challenge, but they were invaluable collaborators throughout the process. Their creative and positive approach to deliver on what we were hoping for was outstanding, and more so, their commitment to quality, execution and timing was second to none. Our home is so much more than just where we live, and entrusting it to someone is a big decision and commitment.
